Hello and welcome to our website. My name is Alan Parsons, Funeral Director, Managing Director and Chief Car Washer with Parsons Funerals.

My great grandfather started this business over 120 years ago and one of my greatest rewards today is to be joined in the business by my son Anthony, the fifth generation of Parsons Funeral Directors.

The horse and carriage have gone but the one constant I am dedicated to upholding is to remain a local family owned and 100% Australian owned and operated company.

I believe doing this ensures I can continue the family legacy in contributing to and supporting the economy, growth and stability of our beautiful Illawarra.

Parsons is staffed by an exceptional team of 50 local employees. We support local jobs by using local services and suppliers.

Our mortuary is a fully equipped facility where your loved one is cared for locally, no transporting between Sydney and Wollongong.

We sponsor, donate to and support local charities and agencies. I am proud of my family history in the Illawarra community and it bears repeating, we are 100% Australian owned, not the 51% it takes to qualify for the Ausbuy logo. All our business stays in this country.
