Free Sessions
For many death is a very confronting topic and thus people tend to shun it. This places a sense of mystery around the funeral industry, where people are uncomfortable with asking questions and don’t fully understand what happens. To combat this, we have maintained a commitment to transparency in the community. One of the ways in which we undertake this commitment is by holding education and training sessions for the wider community.
Partnership
We have partnered with Mountain View Crematoria and other locally owned funeral directors in the Illawarra in order to provide people with an understanding of after death care, and the funeral industry.
We fully appreciate that many people would prefer not to learn about the industry when a loved one has passed away; most people have greater concerns at that point. So, these sessions are a great way to connect with us and learn without the pressure of needing to arrange or attend a personal funeral service.
These education and training sessions are fully open to the public. If you are curious about after death care, these sessions will give a learning opportunity. For those looking to enter the funeral industry or healthcare, it can an invaluable experience to learn more about the industry as a whole.
Health and Aged Care Professionals
We especially recommend this training to healthcare and aged care professionals. Being able to personally understand what happens when a person passes away, the systems and procedures in place, can be invaluable when informing families or patients. As such, we offer certificates to those that attend our sessions to prove that they have gained training on after death care.
This is part of our giveback to the local community but we also gain by offering these free sessions. We are informing the public about our funeral home and the people that work in it. We are showing the level of care which we provide to the deceased and also to their families. These sessions are a chance for us to show you the behind the scenes of H.Parsons Funeral Directors and everything which goes into making the Parsons Difference.
